For context, in my AU do to the severity of the Franco-Japanese wars, similar to world war II, people in European regions reverted to wearing Sabots, do to most of the leather going toward the war effort. This continued to be an issue in the Purgatory Road beneath the city in the sky, that couldn't afford 3D printing.
